im towing a 1500lb trailer, 500lb in the bed, about 500miles.
2.5l mt 2wd yr2000
staying between 4th gear 54mph on flats and 3rd gear 41mph on inclines.
...2nd gear, 30mph over mountains.
seems like sometimes i get stuck between between 3rd gear at 3300rpm and 30% 'load' or 4th gear 2200rpm and 60% 'load'.
which is worse for truck? high revving or lugging engine? i try not to do either for extended periods of time
