To add to the fun, the steering in the 2019 locked/froze up. I'm exploring options, Ranger 5G says it sometimes happens when the app is used to remote start (it was) qnd the is to move back and forth a few times braking real hard. I have a parade I'm obligated to be in and it's a national holiday. I have the 2011, so the last part is fine. But now I have two (2) F$^(@ng vehicles dead in the water. Happy F₩€£ng Veterans Day!

Man, seems like everyone is having major vehicle problems. I’ve been struggling to keep the Choptop on the road. Paul had the motor go in his van, we still don’t have the motor in his Ranger, and both his Subaru and Jimmy have brake problems (master/booster related)

Well, the 2014 is fixed and the back and forth thing while braking hard unF&@*ed the steering in the 2019. The voltmeter in the power port of the 2019 is showing 12.1 after it's been sitting a while. So, right on cue, the Ford AGM battery is failing. It lasted almost 3 years, just like the original one did. So, once the House passes the funding bill the Senate approved, and the President signs it, I guess I'll be replacing that one as well. Autozone has the best warranty (5 years) and the pricing is better, so I guess I'll be getting a battery from them. Everyone else is selling a battery with a 4 year or 3 year warranty and the price difference isn't that big. Odyssey batteries are only 3 year and are much more expensive. Optima, while available, is more expensive as well, with only a 3 year warranty, and their reputation isn't what it used to be.

Went to my brothers, didn't do much but we did test out the little Yeswelder stick welder he got a while ago finally. It's a tiny little thing but welds very respectably... being inverter it's DC only which is good on a stick welder anyway... burned through a stick of 1/8" 6011 and it was pretty nice, even had a cap of slag on the top which you definitely don't get with AC! Tried some 3/32" 7018 and it was butter smooth, it has a hot start feature that makes 7018 a bit hard to re strike, didn't get as far as trying to turn that down... I think it will up my brothers confidence level in welding, should take much less patience...
