Looks like the alternator bracket is to the frame? So the engine is solid mounted? And the water pump is run off 12V electric?

Definitely a unique way to get an electric water pump.. first time I've seen that sort of setup anyways.

I'm guessing that the alternator has an off switch and everything runs off battery when racing. Gives a few extra HP.

Solid motor mounts with ½" bolts plus 3/16 X 1" straps from both heads to the frame - driver side goes to an upper steering box That's an ancient Moroso water pump drive I've had since the mid 1970s.

That was the original electric water pump LOL. Self contained ones were still years in the future when I got that one.

I don't shut it off. Haven't had a battery charger or a generator at the track with me for many years. Besides the tool box the only bit of gear I take is my Ryobi hand held compressor. BTW I lost the belt during the burnout one time and I never saw any difference in the ET.

Did another 3 hours of chainsaw action for my ma.

At the rate I'm piling up trees it seems like I may be able to sell at least a few cords next year and add some cash into my property fund split seasoned cords go for 300$ up here nowadays.. seems kinda wild considering Maine is THE MOST wooded state in the country.. just a few years back a guy could buy a cord for sub-200.. at least I can use this to my advantage.


Doing the whole firewood thing seems like a pretty decent side gig honestly you essentially get paid to work out AND you get to hear the angelic serenade of a two stroke pretty much the entire time.. hell yeah.

Other than work I ended up taking a long lunch going to pick up the transmission and parts for my F350... here in a couple minutes I get to go get it out of the back of the ranger and into the shop... doesn't sound fun... it's currently just under 90 and humid...

The wife and I married late. She had put all of her assets including the house in trust for her daughter. With her cancer death last January, the house went to the daughter though her Will says I get a year to live here. Now the daughter says she will sell the house come 2026.

The wife made this house my home and I've put a million hours into it for her safety and upgrades. I do not want to have to leave it and move.

when my father died he spilt the house between 3 of us 4 siblings and allowed one sister the right to live there.
the situation turned into a nightmare.

The wife could not handle the rebellious daughter, daddy's girl of 4, when daddy left. Wife gave up and sent her to daddy. I never saw the daughter give 2 sh*ts about her mother. Five years of chemo and daughter never showed up once.

I made 182 trips with the wife for chemo, surgery, docs, and hospital stays over 5 years. Does that count for something? Apparently not.

that the same type of stuff my mother in law is going through with her sisters over some condos and houses. it sucks. she had to get a lawyer because they tried to have someone forge her signature saying she agreed to relinquish her rights to the properties.

At last someone who understands.

When I was coming up, you had to find some pain in the ass old fart who gave you a hard time and made your head hurt every time you learned something from him. There were no other options.

Now I’m the cranky old fart, and I really want lay it on and get payback, but all the newbies just go to YouTube.

I feel cheated.
