What did YOU do today?

Went to indian lake & camped out by the water for the day, fireworks at 10:00. My daughter happened to be there with her family & surprised me. Only bad part of today was the traffic hell at 10:30 when it ended. Beautiful day.

Install new Lasfit 20 watt driving (fog) lights, the lens is totally garbage, so out comes the 220 grit sand paper & going up from there, exchange out the front & rear diff fluid, adjust down 2 turns on the front FOX coilovers, actually I'm having some coffee and thinking about it. Just installed a used bed (Leer 122) topper. Looks great, hopefully it stays put going 800 miles up to the Rocky Mountains! Plenty of pics coming.

Got the lions share of the new Bronco Cave gate built yesterday.

They look great but sag over time (the brackets). I usually replace 2 with a diagonal 2x4, either direction, doesn't matter

I thought I would do what the Amish builders do to keep things straight.

That's what I told her...

Now how did I get this black eye and why is it Sunday? I remember it being Wednesday...

If you ever want to remember why you're getting divorced, try moving a chest freezer up a flight of stairs with your (soon to be ex) wife. 🙄

I also did something I've been waiting a couple years to be fully prepared to fix, which was tapping my rocker panels with a body hammer to see just how big the patches were going to need to be. I was surprised on both sides, one for how little rust there was under the bubbles and how much there was on the "good" side. Rather than say "don't ignore those paint bubbles" I'll just say: I've heard complaints about the sheet metal on Rangers but I'm impressed, borderline amazed how well the galvanizing or whatever anti-rust dip they did worked. (Rust belt truck obviously)
