What did YOU do today?

Watching the game. Just doesn’t seem right without some red on the uniforms…

And, @snoranger, I completely agree that one dog is worth three cats…

By “compromised” I mean “I was completely ignored and they did whatever the F they wanted regardless of what I said.”

Well yeah, that's universal... my wife thought she needed a car with better fuel economy to save money a couple years ago, I think it was $3k plus insurance costs on another rig which I'm not sure the math works out on over the Explorer but yeah, similar compromise... (to help my side of the math, it is a $400 V8 Explorer that I'm not getting rid of...)

Against my better judgement I tackled the camper again, this time I got the side off... it released from the middle and I was on a ladder wrapped in the dang thing though :). Conveniently I had made almost enough room on the floor to lay it flat so I've got that going for me... I cracked a couple spots that I'll seal up with something at some point, might just super glue after I have it back on... unless I buy a new sheet, we'll see how frisky I get... It doesn't look any better than I expected, going to have to reverse engineer things, make some lumber of the right dimensions, get a bunch of new glue (the MIG won't work dangit), probably get rid of some foam and replace it with plywood, get some 1/8" plywood to skin the outside completely as it's all destroyed, invent some measurements that don't exist anymore, get a gallon of white flex seal for the roof and whatever else I missed :)

That's enough for the night, except I forgot to turn the diesel heater off, so off to that now... if Diesel was cheaper I'd just leave it run all week to attempt to dry it out... have two electric heaters going now.

Drove to work in a blizzard, got out an hour early so I went home, shoveled the sidewalk again, trimmed one of the fallen trees because it was blocking the lane behind our house, got the Bronco thawed and moved out of the way. Fired up the tractor and bladed the driveway. Got everything put away and reshovelled the sidewalk again from the dogs playing around. Then I scrubbed potatoes and cooked a roast for supper.

You’ll make a good wife for somebody one day.

Most of my weather mess eventually drained away all by itself.

I configured Unbound in my OPNsense router to block malware, ads, trackers, and cryptominers. It uses several DNS blocklists that block all that garbage. It's working very well. No more clickbait Taboola ads, Googleadsense ads blocking what I want to see, and no popups telling me to disable my adblocker because there isn't an adblock on my laptop to detect. Blocking the ads at the router results in fewer broken webpages. Oddly, the ones that are broken in Chrome work in Firefox.

It's a worthwhile project if you have a spare PC or laptop. It will require a second ethernet connecton and some patience.

Well, After my D21 sat for most of the summer due to No A/C, I pulled the truck out and had a carrier bearing issue. Nonserviceable u-joints were toast and my slip yoke was cracked. I needed a shop to do the work. They quoted me almost $300 to rebuild mine. After weeks of searching on the webs, a new driveshaft finally arrived. ($200 shipped) I put it in and it ran smoother than it ever has. Next day, storm comes in and the big oak I park under left me a present.

So if anybody has a lead on a good parts truck, 86.5 - 97 Nissan Hadrbody ( D21 ) or 1st and/or 2nd gen Pathfinder, let me know. I have a Ranger and Parts to trade

Almost exactly what I said.
" Well, GD, SoB, MF'er" is what came out of my mouth.

Kinda looks like it spared the a-pillar and roof though.

Smallish victory... is still a victory.

Yes. Besides the glass, only the wiper cowl and windsheild trim took a hit. After crying about it, I thought the same thing " at least it didn't hit the roof"
