What did YOU do today?

I really missed rolling through the woods with the heat blasting and the snow smoothing the trail.

Felt semi worth a crap for the first time in a week. Think I picked up the flu at work last week and it had me down and out all week. Only time I left the house was to get food and medicine.

Unfortunately the only good day it was also storming all day.

Did get a replacement tool in today, so I should be able to get the brakes finished up on the F-100 tomorrow. Hopefully I'll still feel good enough to do it and the weather cooperates.

Yesterday my wife drove me 13 miles to the hospital so a young woman could ultrasound from my crotch to my ankle looking for blod clots. No blood clots and no dignity, either. She didn't say it but I'll bet she never saw a beached whale with bird legs covered with curly gray hair.

wait until you have prostate issues, or worse get a stint inserted right next to there.
Hint: same color and SIZE as eggplants.

you're right on the no dignity part.

EDIT
the stint was in 2005 during a heart attack.
prostrate was 2-1/2 years ago.
today I was out chipping 'n shoveling ice.

bring it on :icon_thumby:

You can’t even begin to imagine how much we love that visual, thanks a lot.

Yesterday got some diesel for the diesel heater in the shop since there's a winter storm thing happening (so far about an inch of snow and right somewhere under freezing) and I have the camper in the shop needing dried out... I got more of the wood scraped off the foam last night, I'm about done with the easy stuff, about all that's left is the super rotten stuff that doesn't scrape and the stuff that was good and is still in 2 layers on the foam... then on Wednesday I have some adhesive remover coming in and I get to start scraping the layer of wood from the siding and getting the contact cement off of that, then I get to take a bunch of pictures of the wood like foam substance, remove said goo and figure out what wood I need to make with the table saw and figure out how to get it attached :)

Oh, during the weeknights I've been working on my Christmas present, an off brand Lego set of the Winnebego from Spaceballs, got it done, good times... I'll take a pic later and get it uploaded, need to add some pics from other stuff anyway...

Braved the 5* hurricane to blade out the driveway. Tractor battery wasn't having it so I hit it with the jump pack and it fired right up. Moved vehicles over by the chicken house and pushed the driveway. Threw a tire chain twice which made it like a wounded duck with only one chain and no front weights (were frozen down before the storm hit)

Drove the F-150 down to the end of the driveway to throw the chain in the back after I got done, decided to be stupid and go check out the highway. Busted a couple drifts that were substantial but not that horrible. Get up there and snow is blowing across the highway and it looked pretty horrible.

So I went to turn around. Heater cuts out, feels like I lose power steering. And I get a low voltage warning on the dash. Cool. So with bleak prospects up there I turn it around and beat it back home. The drifts I had busted were pretty much filled back in again. About halfway back the heat came back and when I went to turn back in my driveway the power steering was back.

Going to guess it is because some genius decided to mount the alternator at the bottom of the engine and to mount everything really low so it makes for a nice scoop.

Also noted the airdam is hanging on by one screw and dragging now. Just genius all around. My '02 went thru a lot worse without blinking...

So I go to pull the Bronco back around and park it back in its spot. Bury it. Get the tractor and drag it back out. Get back in the car and it goes a a little ways and then starts to slide off to the left and buries itself again. Go it get back on the tractor and try again as it runs out of gas and dies. After the hard start I just never shut it off...

So now I am back in the house trying to figure out how to get the car out. Not sure my F-150/Ranger would do any better than the Bronco as pulling it out will require the tow rig to be in the drift that stuck the car the first time and of course the tractor is now dead in the water.

Air the tires down if you haven't already... it's a serious game changer in snow, ice only chains help but snow air pressure is king until that doesn't work then chains :)

My son and I went on a short canoe trip. Used the brown bomber to haul the canoe and it worked great. Easy height for loading/unloading and the topper makes a big platform for it.

We went up a small creek a few miles and turned around. Not much wildlife today, it was overcast, drizzly, and cool.

Lord knows how it is going to be drifted in by the time I get feeling frisky enough to go back out. Current temp is -7, wind is 25-35 and it is outside of the farmyard "bubble" and in the brunt of the wind.

So, recharge the jump pack overnight. Then, tomorrow morning, go put has in the tractor and start it back up. Retrieve the Bronco, go back inside for a cup of hot cocoa. Church will be canceled tomorrow anyway.

Debating if i have any two stoke gas. Otherwise I have no gas to put in it without going to town.

That takes 2-stroke? Or is that the work-around since it was probably designed to burn leaded?

Its a work around because short of coleman fuel that is as good as it is going to get. The tractor isnt picky.

Sounds like you made Mr. Murphy mad and he smacked you down with his law.
