What did YOU do today?

Took today pretty slow, my brother was in town and he picked me up from my place so I could help him for a bit then I could finally take my F350 back home... We ended up cutting down trees by the river again, this time it was bigger and sketchier trees... took down 3 ~80' Ash trees that were in a clump all about 18" at chest height (like I said in a clump so had to cut at chest height), also a couple maples that were dead or dying, one wasn't too bad, got it to go where we wanted, the other was like 3' diameter but 90% hollow but leaning hard in the direction we wanted it to go so cut a wedge and within 3" of cut on one of the sides it fell... about as good as we could have hoped for...

Why did you bring your office chair out into the field?
So he wouldn't have to sit on the ground like some filthy Army private.

That is why chairs like this exist. Less bulky and less weight.

Please take that out behind some trees and shrubs. That is not for use around the campfire.

Hey... don't be a party pooper.

I saw myself to the corner before I wrote that, I assure you lol.

It makes complete sense. That is much more appropriate needlework on your part.

Come to think of it, is that the chair they use in the Senate meeting rooms in the Capitol?

Didn't get to do much last night, power went out at the house at 5:40pm and back on at 9:48... went to town for food and ended up getting some shopping done...

Finally got the wife's 08 Sienna back together. A deer paid a visit about 6 weeks ago. Replaced most of the front grill and subassembly along with the passenger headlight assembly. Lots of clips and plastic bits. Finessed the hood, core support and fender a bit. JB welded the windshield washer tank. Steering wheel airbag and seat belt assembly from ebay (yeah the bag deployed and the belt tensioner fired). Had the airbag module reset so no dash light. They really bury those things. Fixed a few little gremlins while the dash was apart. Should be good for another 340k...

Got out and ran the power equipment that has fuel in them year round (generators, chainsaws, etc). Running them for about 20 minutes every 3 months helps keep the fuel system from getting gummed up and makes starting easier. I have a Poulon Pro chainsaw that was given to me recently that starts up but won't idle. It's going to need some attention and adjustment. It also reminded me why I don't have any Poulon products. If I can get it running right, it will be a great tool for the truck and the price was right but it is a Poulon...
