What did YOU do today?

Friday, ripped up and layer down about four squares over two smaller hip roofs.

Saturday, we ripped up all the flooring in the 950sqft house and wife started painting. Fixed the hole in the floor under the toilet in the bathroom.

Today, Going to try and get a back door on, and starting fixing the drywall where the roof was leaking.

I’m going to be doing some of that once the 2019 is paid off. the interior needs a renovation. I’m sure things are going to be more expensive than expected and there will be a lot of foul language.

Built the sliding door for the chicken house, need to paint the area where the track rail mounts before installing since you can’t really get in there once the rail is mounted.
Got the paint the other day, its cheap but better than no paint at all. Called “maintenance paint” its a flat white latex, $40 for 5 gallons at lowes. There was some red enamel in marketplace for $75/5 gallons that was quite tempting, better paint obviously but really wanted to stay with a white. If nothing else I will know roughly how much paint is needed for the next time it’s needed.

There is supposed to be a hole there. It should have a pipe coming up through to attach to the toilet for removal of toilet contents.

Normally that hole is supposed to be about 4 1/2” diameter not a 28” x 34” square.

Yesterday I started off cleaning the left over carbon off the pistons after my first go around cleaning then installed the rings then dropped them down their holes and torqued them down, has a rotating assembly minus timing set (didn't get that far). After that it was about noon and the wife volunteered the use of our pellet grill to her work so I took that over there then went and helped out at the tractor pull I volunteer at (the event is in two weeks, just cleaning up the grounds and working on grounds projects). Since it was like 94 out we called it quits around 4 then went and sat in the local river for a couple hours...

Today is going to be focusing on the 5L, gotta clean up the heads, do some mild porting (can't not...) then get the engine to long block state and maybe install depending on how it goes...

Kidding. I've been wanting to get into Warhammer 40k for the past few years but nobody wants to spend hundreds of dollars on little figurines besides me -__- lol. I don't know what's wrong with these "friends" of mine

That's why I just have all the stuff. Turns out, it's my kids who are super into it. Works for me haha

Been working on the 5L all day, been taking my time, the heads were filthy, spent some time doing some minor porting, fixed my giant valve spring compressor since it was going to work better than the annoying from the top compressors, was a little finicky since I had to add a deep socket to the valve side to be long enough but worked fine, those Trick Flow springs are a bit stiffer than stock...

Got the heads bolted on and started cleaning up the push rods and rockers and realized one of the pushrods was bad for #2 cylinder, rocker has wear too... Hopefully I can find one local instead of having to get one shipped for Thursday delivery from Summit...

About to head out to put the drivers side valve cover on, we'll see about cleaning up the lower intake manifold and getting it on... might as well clean up the oil pan and get it and the oil pump on too... While upside down might as well put the motor mount plates on...

I moved to a new place. And didn't pack any dishes or bedding so I had pizza for dinner, bought new towels and a new sleeping bag. Bachelor life! It's so weird being an empty nester. It's so basic to just take care of myself. I still make way too much food and buy family size everything

Saw the 'new' ranger in my yard for the first time today.

The local (to where the ranger was) tow place aaa contracts couldn't haul it home for me until 9pm on Saturday.. and I bought it at 4. Really worked out for me.... I get a free 100 miles and the truck was 125 miles away... all my over mileage was comped since they couldn't immideately haul it. Tipped the driver and still saved 100$.

Saw the 'new' ranger in my yard for the first time today.

The local (to where the ranger was) tow place aaa contracts couldn't haul it home for me until 9pm on Saturday.. and I bought it at 4. Really worked out for me.... I get a free 100 miles and the truck was 125 miles away... all my over mileage was comped since they couldn't immideately haul it. Tipped the driver and still saved 100$.

I like the "HEAVY DUTY OFFROAD BUMPER" that's all bent up and like an empty beer can.

I helped a buddy fix his dented out bumper. We pulled a "new one" last week: sanded, primed, painted, and clear coated with rattle cans. We bolted on the "new one" today. Here's the before and after.

Almost pit maneuvered some asshole on my way to work this morning, if the system works as it should.... he should be in jail by now. It doesn't work though so... dudes gonna kill someone eventually.

- Go to pass pickup

- Passed pickup

- Psychopath didn't like that, put his foot to the rug, blocking me from moving back over

- I'm now closing in on a head on collision, so out of necessity I smashed on my brakes

- Using ALL the brakes caused bronco to veer hard right.. giving the drivers bedside of the truck (what I imagine to be) one HELL of a 35" tire smear.. truck almost spins out.. I almost spin out.. truck speeds up and keeps driving.

- Catch up to truck who couldn't escape thanks to a twisty road and a slowpoke in front of him.. get plate #... called police.


The police said they'd be in contact with the other driver. I seriously doubt that anything is gonna come of this though.. as I said.. the system doesn't work... rather... only works when it wants to


It's LAW to let someone finish passing you in maine first off... 2nd... street racing? Or driving to endanger? Wreckless conduct? Then leaving the scene of an accident...


No damage to bronco, thanks to my wheel/tire fitment that sticks out past the fenders.
