What did you do to your Ranger today? (Part Deux!)

Finally had some time (and ambition) to get under the hood on the replacement cab cleaned and rattle canned black. Decided to go that route instead of using the expensive paint as I'll be drilling lots of holes to attach everything and figured it would be easier to touch up.

Almost burned it to the ground.

Also dumb thing that's free to try that "sometimes" works/helps, push the pedal down (in neutral or not running) and slip your foot off the pedal and repeat a handful of times... sometimes that will get a pesky bubble out of the master...
That's what I have to do every once in a while when I can't shift into first again. After I do it the first time the pedal then goes to the floor without resistance, then the second time it gets firmer, then it goes to the floor again, then it gets firmer again. Mine will keep going back and forth between limp and hard for as long as you care to play with it, but it usually stops getting firmer at some point. I'm having to do that more frequently now so it's probably time to bleed it for the 4th time in the last 2,500 miles. Removing everything to bench bleed it sounds like a pain, but since I don't seem to have any leaks or any spots where air could be getting in that's most likely what mine needs.

I don't do it since I'm a little paranoid that the clutch will eventually forget to firm up again if I do it too frequently, and my parking brake is strangely intermittent, but parking in neutral with a clutch pedal that doesn't do anything would probably be a pretty good last ditch theft deterrent.

drove it to work and put gas in it, $40 only got me to 7/8 from 1/4

I feel your pain, I'm sure a good many of us do.

Mine is partly self inflicted since I've been running with nonethanol gas. Last fillup, even with the fuel perks, or whatever Shell calls it, it was $5.30 a gallon. Most of my fill ups are 10 - 15 gallons. Soooooo, yeah...

I'd still take that over filling the F150, filled that up thursday, 97 bucks

Oh, I believe it. Especially if it has the big tank.

sure does. i can go forever on a tank but when that 36 gallon gets to a 1/4 tank, it hurts

My truck needs 93 so i gave up worrying about the price. Its generally 4.89-5.09 anywhere i go.

What ibhave figured out is if i fill up when the truck hits that last quarter mark, its 11-13 gallons to refill. If i wait to long and lwt it drop below that quarter mark, it can take up to 20 gallons to fill so i fill at the 1/4 mark
