Nah, Ford naming the top level Bronco after my truck is cool enough. I don't want to overdo it...

And it is has been rolling in the dust/mud around here that I know is easy to remove after it has been on for a long time. That ORP stuff can get weird if you let it sit too long (I did that last year)

Gave both a quick bath. The 2019 just because it was a bit dirty and the 2011 because the front and windshield were a bug massacre from all the traveling over the weekend. The 2011 averaged 18.7 over 791 miles. Not bad with all the modifications I've done that negatively effect the fuel mileage.

Drove 320 miles north to the canadian border to ride wheelers for the weekend, really gave the 2.3 a good workout on the way up and back. 80-90 mph was the target speed, which is easily realized that far north, set by my buddy who was leading the way with his turbo f150.

At its maximum legal weight, mabey even 200lbs over.. a 2.3 ranger will hold about 82mph in 5th on flat ground, and WOULD do better than 100 in 4th if it wasn't for the speed limiter.

On the ride up I was incessantly shifting between 4th and 5th to maintain that target speed and got a hair under 15mpg. The ride home I just left it in 4th and fed her the corn, 4-4500rpm for hours on end and it didn't miss a beat. Temp needle never even moved a hair above where it usually is.

mine hits the rev limiter at 81 with the 225/70/15 tires, can do 85 with 235/75/15’s but takes 4 miles to get there. 4.10 gears, 3,000 pounds before cap & driver. I was impressed at how when its drove hard it doesnt get hot or burn oil.

Used the 2011 to cut down some trees and limb and cut them up for firewood yesterday. I run to pick up the remaining smaller pieces today. Assuming my back will allow me. Limbing kills my back everytime. The heating pad and aspirin regimen treatment is now in action.

The 2011 and utility trailer are loaded for SAR training over the weekend. The back is recovering well but still applying heat and taking aspirin just to make sure before I go.

Still working on getting the truck ready to complete the interior work. Found a bad spot of rust from the inside of the cowel, to the top of the brake booster, and through to the inside of firewall. Ended up removing, clutch, and brake pedal assembly, and brake booster, to gain access, treated rust, patched holes painted,and seam sealed all three sides. Painted more misc. Items ashtray receiver, dash speaker covers dome light base. Trans tunnel cover plates, still working on cab paint, I might be a bit of a perfectionist. Even if it's a rattle can job it has to look as good as possible. Got the final coat of paint on dash core. Be ready for clear coat tomorrow. Glove box painted, started prepping fuse panel to go in, found a loose pin that the, retaining tab wouldn't hold, ended up using a small piece of crushed rock shoved into the housing to force the tab in, than super glued in place, a little janky but holds good and works good. On the surface it sounded like a simple job, but so many things to do once you get into it. I've got new carpet, and sound deadener showing up this weekend, so it's going to be a busy one. I'm hoping to have truck back together and driving this week.
