What did you do to your Ranger today? (Part Deux!)

Added white overlays on my black gauges. Not saying I'm gettin old but, those black gauges with red needles, was gettin real hard to see with my sunglasses on. Now when the officer says ---- do you know how fast you were going I will be able to tell him--------------------a lie.:p

Nice...where did you get them ?

Took it to the car wash...

Don't worry, I'm just as confused as you are. I think I might have been day drinking and blacked out. :icon_confused:

You been drinkin that goat hooch ?

New fuel pump time? Filler neck doesn't look bad. Frame even looks decent right there.

wow, over 300K out of a fuel pump? Frame does look good, may as well look at the spring hanger brackets while you have the bed loose, alot easier with it out of the way if its needing done.

rear spring hangers were done several years ago, with the bed in place.
the truck was undercoated when new, fluid filmed the last 2 years.

yep. did some nasty bouncing thru a construction zone, died about 50 feet later.
reset, tripped, and reset the cut-off at least a dozen times, no pressure at the rail.
I get an open to ground on both wires at the cutoff, one of them should give me resistance thru the pump to ground.
pink w/ black according to Chiltons.
ran a fused jumper wire from the battery to the cutoff wires, nothing.
I'll check from the pump connector to ground tomorrow. that may be the issue instead of the pump itself.
runs a few seconds on a squirt of carb cleaner.
oh well, it's the original pump with lots of miles so it needed replacing anyway.
worse part is I got a sunburn on my bald head walking 2 miles home.
