What did you do to your Ranger today? (Part Deux!)

Just took some pictures of it. Installed a pair of rock lights at the front end. Will be adding others later.

The rock lights.

Dumb question. Why would you need to light up under the truck? You can't see underneath when you're driving anyway.

For the guide that is giving you directions over the obstacles.

As mentioned above, it helps the spotters. Also helps the driver/passenger when they lean out the window to look.

And, good work lights if you have to change a tire or fix something.

Antigravity pumps cost alot more than lights.

What about Unclegravity pumps? How much do they cost?

Took the 2011 to get parts and supplies to start repairing the trailer. Just waiting on some stuff to get delivered and some advice.

The advice part I asked in the trailer thread but I'll ask it here too. The original trailer tongue bar is whatever the metric equivalent of 2.5"X2"X1/8" that is about 84" long. No one stocks that size that I could find as far as the 2.5"X2" rectangle tube dimensions. The closest if 2.5"x1.5"x0.188" I bought an 84" length of that but I'm a bit concerned it might fail like the original did since the short dimension takes the vertical weight of the trailer.

So, I have two possible options.

1) Buy a 2.5"x1.0"x0.125" rectangular tube and see of ti can talk the weld shop into welding them together so they look like this [][]. If that is acceptable, do I put the thin side toward the tongue jack or away for best torsional resistance since the jack bolts on to the side of the tongue bar?

2) Buy a 2.5"X2.5"x0.250" square tube and save the 2.5"x1.5" for another project?

The rest of the fabrication from there isn't a big deal. I just don't want to create a future headache for myself by choosing poorly. Weight wise, it's a wash. Both will be 55 pounds.

I had also looked at possibly getting some 0.5"x2.5" flat bar and get it welded on either side of the tubing I already have but that would bring the weight up to 96 pounds and that will be a heck of a lot of weight to counter balance. Not to mention weight added to the trailer takes away from it's load capacity. So, that leaves options 1 and 2.
