What did you do to your 2019 and up Ranger today?


The 2019 got a bath since I had all the stuff out to wash the Escape and there was enough time and day light to do it.

I don’t have a CAI. The Ford tune comes with a K&N filter.
Oh. I thought it came with the whole CAI. Well disregard my question haha

Technically yes. It pulls cold air from the front of the engine. But I know they make high flow air intakes aftermarket and I ASSumed it came with one in the Ford Performance tune he's running. The air box on most are shaped completely different. So i was wondering how the snorkel kit lined up with athaftermarket air box.
 
I got a few things done after I got home from work today.


I installed the JCR Offroad engine cover I’ve had for way too long. It’s supposed to help with the water in the spark plug boot issue:

I installed the rear Fox 2.5 piggyback shocks. I had to straighten out a bent passenger side lower shock mount. It looked like it took a few hits in the rocks. I guess I’ll have to build some skid plates for the shock mounts.

Out with the old (10K miles old):

In with the new:

In case anyone ever installs a set of these… DO NOT FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS. If you do, the passenger side reservoir will hit the upper mount at full droop. If you turn the shock 180° the axle tube will smash one of the adjusters. You need to loosen the piggy back lock nut and rotate the reservoir 90° toward the middle of the truck.

I also installed some more of the RCI full skid plate kit. I’ll finish that up tomorrow and post some pics.

We already made a deal on the suspension months ago.
I won’t even insult him by offering him these twisted sheet metal skid plates. If he wants them, I guess he can have them. They aren’t worth the effort it took to walk them over to the trash can.

I lost track of what was already planned in the horse trading that's been going on.
