What did you do to your 2019 and up Ranger today?

Sweet! We want a video of a thorough testing lol

Well kinda today kinda a week or so ago. Last weekend I was headed home and came upon some wet white paint over a knole I couldn't see.. luckily for me it painted the passenger side and undercarriage of my 2020 Ranger white. It was great. So I tried first thing when I got home with the pressure washer to no avail. I went ahead and called insurance. So found a good detailer and dropped the truck off. Picked it up today, paint free! $1500 later.

State inspection shop called, needs new rear brakes. Oddly the fronts are usually the first to go.
They think the calipers are sticking because the inside pads are worn out and the outers aren't too bad.

@sgtsandman and @lil_Blue_Ford and anyone else in PA. My mechanic told me he got a letter from the state about a week ago saying that the weight class stickers were being discontinued and no longer required so he scraped the faded peeling thing off.

How many miles on your truck? My rear brakes on the passenger side have been sounding pretty angry the past few days.. truck gets inspected Monday.

More freedom? 🍺 I'll raise a glass for that.

I don't think the 2019 has one but the 2011 does. Are they dropping the charge for the weight class too?

I suspect we'll still be paying the premium for the weight class 2. PA just doesn't want to pay for the stickers anymore. Not that they will reduce any of the taxes. PA loves their taxes.

48k. He said the calipers were sticking because both L & R inside pads were worn out but the outers weren't too bad. Installed new pads and lubed the sliders. Did not need new rotors.

That I don't know.

Mine was Class 1. I didn't have one on my 99 and 02 Rangers and my two Sport Tracs were classified as station wagons.

Probably. They did away with the expiration stickers on the license plates a few years ago. It is unlikely that PA will ever charge less taxes and fees for anything.

Found an article on it. I guess the word hasn't gotten around yet since the 2011 has been inspected and emissions tested after it was to take effect. Definitely cost savings to the government. Not cost savings to the tax payer.

I was given the option on the 2011 since it was only 150 pounds over the 5,000# GVW limit. I was not given the option for the 2019.

Probably because the 2019 has a higher GVW.
20+ years ago when I worked at the hospital we had an F-750 box truck rated at 36,000 lb. The Feds changed the cutoff to 30,000 lb for a CDL so the hospital got it re-titled at 30,000 lb or else they would have had to pay for CDL's for everyone who drove it. My office mate had a CDL because he was a truck driver in the Army Reserves but no one else did. It did not have air brakes and was never loaded anywhere close to capacity.

Over past few weeks I've added winchband winch tray, rear add a leafs, and RRW rock sliders. Now to start looking into some skids.
