So after a while of putting it off, i finally took apart and took off my wheel hub bearing assembly on my 99 to inspect the damage. From looking at these pictures, can you guys tell me what i need to buy? Looks like those shards of metal are whats left of the snap ring and that plastic piece is from the hub, do i need a new hub? thanks

What you need to buy?
  1. A new bearing set (they're one piece, supposedly sealed)
  2. Manual hub lockers
  3. grease (apply liberally on the splines, even though the bearings are supposed to be sealed)
  4. snap ring and the plastic piece that goes with it (Ford)
  5. wire brush for cleaning the splines
  6. and while you are at it, regular maintenance is recommended

I got some of those bearings like that off ebay, you definatly get what you pay for, after about 3 months the cheap one one the drivers side started making noise about 2 minutes later it came apart. The tire left my truck and crash, my truck hit the ground while running about 35 mph, it caused about $2000 in damage my advice would be, go to napa and get a good bearing and you will save you a lot more in the long run. I have a AVM hub if you need it.

shit, i already ordered it... maybe i should just return it and buy good ones looking at what happened to you... 15% restocking fee, there goes 40 bucks or i could try reselling them... shoot
