If the guage goes to zero when the engine is off pull the wire off the sending unit and touch it to ground and turn the key on the guage should peg all the way high if it does then get a new sending unit. Does it read pressure when the engine is not running then yea the sending unit is stuck.

The oil pressure gauges are basically idiot gauges. Meaning they pretty much operate like a oil pressure warning light. You may have a warning issue somewhere. Or you oil pressure is actually pegged out. I'd have the oil pressure checked out first with a gauge before you start looking for electrical bugs.
