So yesterday when I came home my truck felt like it wanted to die, like a vacuum line had popped off.

So I popped the hood and started looking and the egr sensor was charred where the vac lines hook up.

Any idea how this could happen?

Don't see it as overheating the motor...its below freezing outside and I usually have the heater blasting.

I have seen plugged exhaust cause the EGR to burn up.
