What Battery

Sup,
So the battery i have in the ranger is not holding a charge.
I was gonna give a used one a try as i am low on cash right now but im not sure what im looking for in a battery.
I gave the wreckers a call and they said they have a small battery that was from a honda civic or something.
its for the truck in my sig.
Any ideas??

Measure your current battery dimensions, check what side the pos and neg terminals are on, and go to the junk yard to find one that matches what you have.

Since you didn't say where you are in your profile you may also want to check for cold cranking amps if you live in a cold climate. Get the most you can.

Also most batteries have a manufacture date...look for one that is no more than a year old. You can find them...in August 2009 or somewhere thereabouts I found a battery dated February 2009...still using it...but I'm looking for a replacement for it because the winter is going to be very cold this year...I think...

The best battery I've found is a Caterpillar 230-6368. When I crank the engine it only goes down to 11.1 volts. (9.6 is allowable) It mounts in perfectly.
