also, what axles were offered with the 2.5?? 5spd also, my trucks sticker is damaged, so i cant see the axle code

With a 2.5L your going to have the 7.5" axle. Looks like a code 86, which is specifically a 7.5" axle open diff with 3.73 gears.

Basically, an open differential does not have any "aids" to enhance traction.

The gears are independent of the engine.

It looks like your vehicle is a street machine. It may be worth your while to search the junkyards for an axle with 4.10:1 gears (for performance) with factory Trac-lok (traction/performance).
