what are the chances it covered in oil?

It still needs to be replaced the key being putting it together properly. The 150 extra bucks for a new flywheel and master cyl. It will last alot longer but less if you ride the clutch. I used to catch myself all the time with my foot on the pedal driving down the road that is just a bad habit. Take your foot off completely between gears is my policy.

X2^^^^^^^ you need to learn heel/toe gas and brake....with your right heel on the brake give it gas with your toe as you let out the clutch and release the brake as the clutch grabs.... takes some practice to do, but is better than riding the clutch...

If you know exactly where your clutch engages without bogging down the engine you don't need to heel/toe. Get the clutch into that "sweet spot" then just let off the brakes, hit the gas, and go as usual.

This is what I do all the time. Especially on hills. This way I don't have to jump the clutch to stop from rolling backwards. Occasionally I catch myself doing this for long periods of time at a stop light. Nature of the beast I guess
