What adapter will fit the fuel rail schrader valve?

I borrowed an Autozone (OEM brand) fuel tester kit - the "Ford schrader valve adapter" doesn't quite fit. You can tighten it down somewhat, but past a certain point it just loosens again. Never tight enough to get an actual reading.

I replaced the schrader valve with another one from Ford, so it's not that the valve is damaged. I just don't seem to have a proper adapter. Searching shows someone else had a similar problem once.

So uh...any adapters you've used & can vouch work?

I think the one I have is 'Mechanics' brand (Pep Boys back in 1994?). It also has a relief to collect fuel for volume/flow calcs and relieve the pressure w/p squirting fuel all over.

I got the one from Harbor Freight, had 4-5 hookups.Like $15.Sounds like somebody stripped out the one you borrowed

I agree with it sounds like something has stripped, either the tool you're using or the threads on the schrader valve.

I second the harbor freight stuff. Mine works even on the notoriously hard to activate short center pin.

I have used the OEM brand adapter and it worked fine. I agree that it sounds like you have something damaged.
