So the radio station just announced today that the song Money for Nothing from Dire Straits has been banned from the radio in Canada because it says the word Faggot.

one interesting thing...it all came from one complaint.so i figure if enough complaints are issued about enough songs,it will overwhelm them and there'd be no way to justify this naziistic attitude.

I regularly feel the need to call in to the station I listen to and file complaints about the DJ playing "Bop with You". My complaint is justified though. If am listening to a COUNTRY STATION!!!!! I don't want to run the risk of hearing 80's pop.

No, my beef isn't with the DJ. It's with the senile 80 something broad that keeps calling in and requesting it. The problem is that, because there are 3 other stations including classic rock, pop, and oldies all under the same company, the song is in their library, and since Dan Seals

(the musician) fancied himself, somewhat incorrectly, a country musician, well, these guys play it.

If I want to take a shot at the DJ himself, I'll complain about him playing Sugar Land.

ive heard versions of "money for nothin" with the "faggot" lyric replaced, same with a tom petty song "you dont know how it feels to be me" where he says "lets roll another joint" , "joint" was changed to something else, and on some mtv special the kid rock song "all summer long" they outright deleted the lric about "smokin' funny things", i even put the tv on closed captioning to see if what i thought happened, a cd could skip once, but not everytime a certian line is sung. remember when if you didnt like something you just changed the channel? all in the family wouldnt see the light of day in this era, but back in its day it was quite a hit, and nobody shot anyone else over it.....those were the days

lol...so I went on the CRTC website earlier and put in an official complaint as follows:

I would like to put in a complaint against whomever decided that pulling the full and uncensored version of Money for Nothing by Dire Straits off the air was a good idea.

QUIT BOWING TO THE CRYBABY CLUB!!! There is much worse than that song on the air waves today. Pull your heads out of your asses!

Also took a screen shot of the page after the complaint is registered. It tells you to call a 1-800 number to complain about your phone being disconnected....no lies here. I posted that on failblog.org. It was too much.
