So How does anyone fill a 7.5 without a syringe??? I got through all the "other problems" and It's now two days of gravity feed and all I can get in is 1/2 a quart!:icon_confused: I'm seriously thinking plasma bag here:icon_idea: If any one has had success what did you do?
Thanks in advance Bill

I've always used a short peice of 1/2" hose on the cap the bottle of gear oil comes with, takes about 10 minutes to fill.

I was seriously considering buying one of those sports drink bottles with the fixed straw and you can just squeeze it.

The front axle is imposssible on the IFS trucks too.

Yeah I did the front once, that felt like an eternity because I was alone and my beer was just out of arms reach...in reality it was like 20 to 30 min.

take the ABS sensor out of the top of the axle and the plug out, get a couple feet of 3/8" or 1/2" nylon clear tubing from your hardware store (probably $.30 a foot or thereabouts), cut the end of the cap on the bottle off, stick the hose on and go at it, should take like 5 minutes... I know this is the only way I was getting the oil in the lincoln I worked on once...

Or buy a 10 dollar suction transfer pump.

How are you supposed to work on your truck if you don't have the proper tools, mister? Next time be prepared.

Yep. A pump makes it very easy. Worth having for the diffs, trans, and transfer case.

Thanks!!!

You guy's are great; I tried the book methods and I ended up at the RABS mount screw! Special kudo's to scott90 for the mention. Everything went well and again the ranger station saved my arse!:icon_welder:
