What’s for dinner tonite!

I made pizza a couple times lately. I was using Naan bread for the crust... bake up nice and crispy...

Last night was a garden salad and a couple crab cakes. I've made this crab cake recipe a couple times. Trying to simplify it so it's feasible to make while overlanding. I tried making them in my new air fryer... it didn't work so well and they fell apart. Tasty but not picture worthy....

Tonight I made portobello and grilled onion on grilled french rolls with Havarti cheese and a steak sauce aioli.

Really watching calories... I'm down 13 lbs from the new year.

Yeah, I've taken to making a quick pizza like shapes with tortilla shells (or similar) and pizza sauce in a squeeze bottle, with whatever leftover and cheese I have. In a fry pan with lid usually, but my air fryer should work.

I just got myself air fryer... but i like it so far.

I have a true weakness for crinkle cut fries and the air fryer is the shit for those. Makes them crispy and far more guilt free.

My friend has a basket air fryer and it works good. But you can't cook pizza or muffins in it.
Mine is a glorified toaster oven with a fan, but it does everything that my friends does, and pizza and muffins too!

We have a shorter one of those. It get used about every other day. Anything from pizza, fries, chicken, to bacon. Toasts nicely too.

I didn't weigh anything for exact calorie count... but my guess is these turkey street tacos are at 150 calories each.

What do you have for an air fryer? Costco has one for $89 I've been thinking of buying.

The wife bought me a Ninja.

I've used a Ninja crock pot and blender for years and love them.

Have a PowerXL in the house (X-mas gift a few years ago), I would advise against it for 1 reason, it has little rubber feet that get lost basically immediately.

Tater tots out of the air fryer are the bomb though - nice and crisp, no oily, perfect every time.

Took a tri-tip sirloin roast, trimmed the fat and silverskin, then cut it into the desired thickness steaks.

Seasoned and skillet fried in butter, server with mashed potatoes mixed with sour cream, cream cheese, cheddar cheese and butter ..)

Chicken noodles soup...

I skipped the dumplings this time for lesser calorie count. And... it's working. Sticking to it is hard... cause i like to eat.
