What’s for dinner tonite!

Egg in everything, more protein...

My wife says eggs are evil. And they kinda are. But you're right they're like a perfect protein pack to bring a baby chicken into the world.

Evil…? I’ve never heard such? Thought they were the perfect everything? I put them on my burgers.

You’re going to hate me... I had a bacon, egg, and cheese on an English muffin for breakfast.

No... it's all good. A year ago I would have had two of those.

All I can say is things changed when cancer became a daily topic around here.

Never knew of side effects of eggs with cancer. Guessing kemo. Not rubbing things in just trying to learn as always. If there is something bad in eggs I want to know about it.

Someone is just on a diet where he can rarely eat anything animal related.

Take an hour or so and watch a documentary called Forks over Knives...

It will enlighten you to just how horrible or food system is and frankly piss you off.

Humans have been consuming eggs, dairy and various types of meat for millenia. Moderation is the key. We (humans) would not be where we are today without the animal protein we've historically eaten. Even the evolutionists believe that our ingestion of animal protein is what separated us from the apes. Not that I agree with that, but there's no question that animal protein has always been a major portion of our diet. Again, moderation is the key. Just my 2 pennies.

While that's primarily true, in cases where you need to fight illness or combat the effects of many years of bad diet, it is beneficial to adopt special dietary lifestyles temporarily or permanently. Two of the best things you can do is avoid heavily processed foods and minimize dairy intake.

No argument on that. But again, moderation. Having an egg every now and then, in most cases, isn't going to cause a major problem.

Mater's, Tater's and Fat meat and Beans if your late cause Momma Says

Threw together a "stirfry". Needed to use up some cooked shrimp. Fried celery, red and yellow sweet peppers, sliced ginger and last was green onions on top of noodles

. Made a cream sauce with shredded Romano cheese. Turned out ok, next time I need to add some fish sauce or something .

I agree with moderation... it's probably why I'm still in pretty good health.

I think the problem here boils down to industry. We aren't eating the same food throughout this millenia. Today's food is delivered to you from massive for profit industry. Whose goal is to get it to markets fast as possible with the least loss. Which brings in the growth hormones... steroids... antibiotics and whatever else that let's industry accomplish their goal. This doesn't even account for the processed foods or the fast food industry.

There really is a reason why we are the most obese and unhealthy society on the planet.

Not only is it u healthy for individuals. It generates an insane amount of waste.

A single wrapping machine that puts pre-made sandwiches or frozen dinner in a plastic wrapper will wrap millions of packs a week. A medium sized plant will produce 10-20 million packs a week. Not including the water materials used for setup that go straight to the dumpster.

Plastic wrappers that can not be recycled and end up in a landfill or floating around in the ocean.
