What’s for dinner tonite!

Black eyed peas, fried okra, jalapeno cornbread, sliced tomatoes aaannddd... wait for it ...

Salmon patties. (in Florida, so canned, not fresh)

Dessert is cherry cream cheese turnovers. Assuming I get over the meal at some point and can actually eat one.

I made center cut pork chops... boxed mac and cheese... canned biscuits and everybody's favorite... brussel sprouts.

I do the cooking, but I have a tougher job. My wife went vegan after watching Forks Over Knives 3 years ago. I don't care abut food, so I followed suit and made the whole family get on board. Using meat was easy. Everyone likes meat. Now I'm trapped with 2 college kids, 3 high schoolers and a 4th grader. And I don't cook meat. It took me a couple of years, and some hands-on instruction from a couple ladies from India, to learn about flavors. Caramelizing, and sauteing. It takes an hour longer than any recipe on-line, cooking everything down. They were awesome. I never liked beef, but I still sneak through a drive-through for a chicken sandwich. Here is my minestrone.

I DISAGREE WITH ALL OF THIS

I just bit my goat in protest.

Well if you disagree with Will... don't watch Forks over Knives. I believe that's the documentary based on the China study... it's rather eye opening.

My wife keeps trying to steer us this direction... Trouble for us is we've lived to long as meat eaters. It's a very difficult model to follow...

Going to mull this over while I have bacon n waffles for breakfast, ham n cheese for lunch, or tonight's meatloaf.

Parents are beef and poultry farmers. I'm good.

No cooking for me tonight.... the wife brought home Pizza!

Petite sirloin and baked potato. No picture. When I went back outside to turn off the grill, my dog did some "counter surfing". She got a whole steak. She left the blue cheese crumbles on the floor. Luckily, I had grilled all three steaks from the package.
