I just picked up this 87 bronco ii today and I noticed it was all 1 color with a cool bronco decal on it. My question is did Ford ever produce any 1 color broncos or r they all two tone? And was this decal a factory option by Ford or a dealer?I'd check the door jam sticker to lookup paint code but its missing. Any idea anyone?

They definitely produced monochrome BIIs. Two tone was just really popular during that period, so a lot of them were made that way.

Our 90 model was red and white two tone, but I've seen solid red, black, silver, etc.

So it could of came out of the factory the way it sits you think? I wish it had door jam sticker! Any idea if theres anyone that recreates those and how would I know what info to put on it?

I had a burgundy one as well. Many times, there were regional promotions where visual treatments like tape striping and thematic decals were added. Do the VIN tracking thingy and maybe get a Marti Report if you wanna dig into it. It prolly won't tell much about the Bronco decals, but you never know. It's a good thing to have anyway -- I like that kinda stuff.

Nice looking truck (y)

Nice Bronco II
I don't think the decal is factory.

The factory Bronco on the Bronco II, the horses back slopes down to the head, not flat like yours,

The paint job could very well be original, but there’s absolutely no way that left the factory with that decal on it. It’s a possible dealer add on. Most likely it’s was added by a previous owner.

Nice find... congrats!

I hear the whooshing sound of the money leaving your checking account already.

Was it a Maine vehicle... down south? I ask because it sure looks clean.

85k original miles. Last time it was stickered on the Rd was in 99. The lady I bought it from bought it 2022 and drove it sparingly for just over a yr and needed to sell it.east coast the whole time. Connecticut. Frame is damn clean for east coast.i ll take a few pics tomorrow and show u guys.

Those rain guards though..

I agree that need to go.Thats y I pulled them today.Gives u blinds spots like crazy when your driving .A 90s thing

Yeah, I agree that decal isn't factory. I doubt it was even dealer. Probably something added by the first owner. Being a 2wd is probabvly part of the reason it's in such nice shape for where it lived.

As for replacing the decal, I doubt you'll find it on the shelf anywhere. It is a very simple decal though. Talk to a vinyl or sign shop, they can probably scan and replicate it fairly easily. My sister does the maker craft stuff on the side and I'm pretty sure she could duplicate something like that fairly easily if her vinyl cutter was large enough.
