sooooo looking for one of those 01 style bumpers, anybody selling one or do i have to go with lmc truck?

inspection inside the bumper while checking the brackets for damage revealed a junkyard crayon marking indicating this bumper has been replaced before.

it looks worse than the pictures in real life, it's like my bumper has gone retard lip.


edit: i figure i should explain what happened.

normally i pull forward out of my spot since everybody is gone, but this time i was one spot to the right, where there's a guard rail that is below my sight line, and very narrow.

pulled forward and stopped on the rail, said 'oh ****' and then tried to back up, catching the corner of the bumper on it.

caught me good too, i'm sure the guy watching the security tapes tomorrow is going to get a kick out of my reverse burnout while i was trying to get myself unstuck.

ended up having to pull forward again, and back up, and eventually got free, and was left with that.

frame looks okay, fender has a little yellow paint on it but the metal isn't bent, so it's just going to be a bumper.


what i want to know is, can i swap on the 01+ bumper seperately from the 01+ grill and lights?

i eventually want to swap all of it, but i don't want to have to do it all at once.

Sucks about your truck... An 01+ bumper should fit on your truck as the lights and grill on the 98-00 trucks have a similar shape and should bolt right up.

Yeah - this bumper is up for grabs (valence is about 4K old; bumper is OEM at 125K)

Sorry, but I couldn't find a location in your profile ... by the looks of the Super 1 Foods sign - you're a few states south and the Pepsi cooler puts you more East than TX.

I wouldn't have a clue on how to ship this bumper or valence without breaking either the bank or the valence, but shoot me a PM if you've got some thoughts on it...

sucks man. i think the same happened to mine, because the bumper was bent like yours.
and if u get the 01+ bumper make sure u get the brackets. because installing it with the old ones is a pain.

just make sure u leave enough clearance to access the bolts holding the turn lights.
