Well.. it was bound to happen someday..

ive never owned a ranger the one ive been showing you is my friends truck lol jk i hate to see you go i always though you and i had a thing but i guess not take care good luck with the honda

get a 4 banger ranger

they don't get that great of mileage either, mostly because you have to have your foot in it all the time to go anywhere.

i know where you are coming from. i sold a ranger to buy an escort. fwd, 32 mpg, small, light and agile. big difference from my truck... i still have my second ranger though. you know, to do the things my car cant.

owning a second vehicle isnt nearly as expensive as i thought it would be koda, you might want to think about getting a ranger as a second vehicle sometime later on. i save enough on gas to more than pay for insurance and registration on the car. rangers aren't really practical as a DD unless you really need a truck.

That would get about the same gas mileage as my truck.

And it's still primarily rear wheel drive.

FWD>RWD in snow.

Not quite true actually.

I have had many cars and trucks. And too be honest a rwd ranger with about 200lbs of weight in the bed and a good set of tires is JUST as good if not better than any of my FWD cars i have owned.

I have NEVER been stuck with any of the three rangers i have owned but have been stuck in both my old 1988 Dodge Shadow ES turbo witch had 4 brand new all seasons AND in my 2004 VW Jetta TDI with 4 brand new Nokian snows and it had traction control witch would brake the wheel free wheeling to drive the other wheel.

Handiling wise a fwd wont oversteer but they do tend to understeer in the slippery stuff witch i find much more troublesome. Wear as a pick up will oversteer much more but thats easier to deal with i find.

Obviously 4wheel drive is better than all and i have owned one of those too but most times even with that i left it in 2wd.

None the less hope ya enjoy the Integra cars can be alot of fun. Some times i do miss some of my old ones (specifically my 1986 VW golf diesel funnest car EVER).

Just dont want ya to get a car and find out it really aint much better when the snow flies.

KODA - I know that I haven't talked to you much, but if I head up near you I have a Ranger I would sell you for about $300 including delivery. it needs work but runs strong, I just enjoy everyone on TRS and would do anything for them, its such a great community of Ranger owners

I only have one thing to say....

:lame:

I used to dd a FWD car... snow is one of the reasons I don't have it anymore.

At college they would only plow between the parking stalls with a v-plow. So I would have to shovel the furrow away enough that I thought I could get my car out try it... almost get high centered and claw my way back in so I could shovel some more. With memories of cruising thru plow drifts over the front bumper without cracking a sweat in my Ranger back home still fresh in my mind. If the Ranger could have made the voyage, hands down I would have picked it over the car anyday for snow transport.
