Long story shot: wet road, curve, going faster than I realized.

I don't think the frame is hurt, both fenders are pushed back some. Drivers door opens enough to get in and out. Truck seems to drive ok around the yard. I think its fixable, but I do not have the patience or facility for such a project. I see re-builders advertised for $1500 and up with salvage titles, could I reasonably expect to get that out of this with a clear title?

Thanks
Matt

its only a flesh wound. a trip to the jy and a day of work and you'l have a straight truck again maybe even with matching paint if you're really lucky

Perfect time to upgrade your front end to a newer style....if thats your thing.

Wow. This is the first time I have ever seen someone with the exact same truck as mine. I actually got worried for a second that my truck was missing from the driveway when I saw those pictures.

The only differences between them is mine has only 125k miles, and I have 31" BFG M/T's on it.

Sell it for $1500?

Dude, that will buff out!! You could probably fix that and have it straight again for less than $1500.

Relaxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx......fix the most important piece first so the cops won't give you a ticket.....besides--you & the truk are in purdy good shape considering the 1/4 roll into the trees!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

head to the junk yard, grab a fender, bumper and headlight. then get a big hammer, a pry bar and a few other heavy tools. remove anything broken, and straighten anything under the pannels thats damaged and slap on the new stuff!

if i did that to my truck, id buy a one piece fiberglass front end and make the truck a toy.

and let me guess...

drifted the corner, nosed it into the ditch and your left front caught which slapped it on its side? guessing from the way the wheels are turned and the side of road your on. looks like a pretty gentle flop. hell your windows arent even broken! put a headlight in her, pull back anything touching things it shouldnt a drive er.

it'll buff out...

Yea, put a band aid on it and drive faster!!!! Live long and prosper, more stupidly....lol

Glad you were ok, Bro!!!! Nice slip, flip and slide.

I would definately try and fix it, there is probably only a few hours of work and maybe a couple hundred dollars at a jy to get it back to like new condition. Hell if it was just a work truck DD I would just drive it and buy parts as your wallet allows you too.

Friends...

They will help you for a case of beer and bj...that's Beef Jerky...or hamburgers...just feed them something and get them drunk and when you wake up you will have either a fixed truck or a heck of a mess to clean up...or both...

Not serious damage...glad you're OK...you will learn from this experience...and be a better driver for it...lol

First off, I mean no offense - this is only funny because no one got hurt! (and I've been in similar situations!)

I literally laughed out loud when I opened this thread! The title, well crap, left me wondering and then the first thing I see is the truck flopped over! I 've had a similar experience with a Jeep many years ago (we were actually on a farm pond dam and slid down sideways, beating the crap out of the passenger side with small saplings, and then about 3/4 of the way down one of those saplings held on and over we went!) . . . and "well crap" was the very first thing I said after I crawled out!

I feel your pain man!

Take a deep breath, take it in and make sure the frame isn't bent (I'm guessing it's not), then yeah - just hit the junkyard. Hopefully you can find the same paint, otherwise it'll just be an appaloosa for a bit. Youc an rent paitning videos from technicalvideorental.com - good time to learn a new skill!

You'll be amazed - it's actually pretty easy to pull a front clip off.

Again, I feel your pain . . . but I'm still laughing! :icon_cheers:

My daughter and I, with no body shop skills, have put two fenders, one each grille, 'grille opening panel' and a bumper on her '95 Ranger a few years ago when she had an affinity for left front corner damage. (I didn't realize at the time that I could have gone to a jy and bought same color parts so we bought new and had them painted.) As noted, it is also an opportunity to customize.

You know, the world looks decidedly different when you're laying on your side in a ditch.

06RangerXLT: Not far off, back end came around, I had it straightened back out, but was already off the road and could not stop before it ran up the bank on the left and flopped over. I wonder if I would have been better off to just let it go on around and back it into the bank.

I'm not going to try too hard to sell it, like you all have said, it shouldn't be too big of a deal to fix. I just could use the money more than the project right now.

I'm just glad the ammo can full of ratchet straps missed my head on its way from the backseat to the windshield.
