alright well my project trail truck has the front dana 35 welded, an i thought about leaving it but after reading up on welded front diffs i realized that im goin to blow hubs, not beable to turn so its goin to be a pain in the butt.

so should i just replace the carrier an leave it an open diff, or should i get a locker for the front? this is goin to be my pure trail truck, but still is goin to be street driven. just want everyones opinions on what i should do? thanks alot.

I have a lock right and I would do that again you have to listen to it click but only when your in 4 wheel drive helped me a lot mostly in the snow BTW aussie is about the same thing you can get one for about $250 on line.

ok thanks alot ya i was talkin to a buddy who told me that i should get an aussie. an he warned me about the whole clicking an clunk when they engage an disengage so i dont think im breaking stuff lol.

You likely won't blow up the Warn Jeep hubs, but the sucky turning radius is plenty enough not to weld it.
Get the Aussie Locker (unless you can budget for the ARB, then by all means get that instead. Best option available). :icon_thumby:

Agreed. The hubs would probably stand a change, but would fail (explode) once a shaft explosion weakens them (seen this too many times on stock hubs). The worst part it the sucky turning radius that makes tight wooded hills and tight trails on inclines very difficult. If you want to be cheap, weld it, i'd do that same. But mine came with a lock rite and I cannot complain what so ever about it. It's a matter of preference and $$ though.

ok thanks alot for the advice, i dont think i have enough money right now to buy an aussie so ill just leave it welded for a little bit an just go easy on it, until i can get an aussie locker.

Remember after you weld it, you'll no longer be able to run the Aussie unless you get a new carrier.

I wouldn't recomend welding it uness you only want to go strait. This is usually only done in mudbogg trucks and pulling trucks. Everyone else has to turn and it put too much stain on shafts and hubs.
