Ok guys so I have a 98 4x4 4.0 with a 5r55e. Had it rebuilt less than 15k ago and had issues since day 1. Shop closed down soon after with an IRS issue so now I'm out 1200 bucks. Recently I lost overdrive adjusted the band's and now it's back again. But one thing that hasn't changed is the flare. When cold it shifts perfectly then once things warm up after driving about 20 miles it flares shifting at low rpms and it flares 2-3 while hammering on the gas. Any ideas why it's only happening when it's hot? Fluid was Mobil 1 Synthetic, tried maxlife (used it before rebuild with No issues) same issue and even valvoline mercon V with no luck. Possible PCM reflash or something else?
