it's a canadian law, the power plants across the entire country, are creating too much emissions, so they all shut down for a 6 hour period, overnight... a lot of people have battery backups, but most of the day up here doesn't start till 9am, so it's not such a big deal...

nope, since we dont have the same plants as you guys have, its not as much of a big deal, but my dad and brother works up in alberta and they told me that their power shuts off at 11;30, i was up at ontario a couple years ago for a visit and the power was off there at 11 30 too. sucks ass
