--weezl--'s 07 FX4 Level II

Looks goods I like the paint scheme. Did you fix or found what that noise was when you start your truck? Was it the starter?

thanks buddy, i'm fairly sure it's my starter... turns out a friend of mine's sohc st had it happening a few years ago, and his dad fixed it (dad works for ford) with a grinder of some sort... not worrying about it too much right now, now that i know what it is...

ughhh... i hate my hood. im hoping someday to figure out wtf im doing with it but yours looks awesome with the two-tone paint. gives it a good look without painting whole hood. like the lights too.
So the middle indent of hood is blue like rest of truck correct? color blind so not always easy for me to distinguish colors lol.

yes, it's blue in the middle, the frost on the hood in the pic makes it harder to see also... i think the blue in the middle really breaks up the big chunk of DSG, but you will have to paint the entire hood, if you want to do it properly... sand off the clear, paint on the grey, then clear it all together

I'm thinking of going to Custom Truck Parts today and getting some off road lights. If I offer  wanna help?

sure buddy! i'm always down for a couple beers and working on trucks! check out the IPF 968's that's what i've got on my truck, and that's what i had on my f-250, and i would buy a third set if i need to... they are small and powerful... run between about 250 and 300$ though... i got mine from modern motors, if you do end up going, i don't remember if it's modern or national, but one of them gives my toyota club a discount, mention to them you're part of CT4WD (canadian toyota 4wd association) and see what they say, you might have to drop "Nathan"'s name, give me a call if you need his last name

I picked up some KC Daylighters. Got an idea on how I'd like to mount them but I don't have the required tools anymore to do it.

what do you need, where are you mounting them?

here's how i have mine mounted...

Cut out part of the grille for the back of the light, have the light mounted on the bumper. Hopefully my lack of drawing skills makes since in the picture. I'm open to more ideas though.

it does... a light bar would be a good idea though, so you don't have to drill your bumper and cut your grill... i don't like cutting body parts, just because they can't be fixed as easily...

i've seen some really nice low profile ones, and some that are just made out of angle iron pretty well...

I think I read in a post you were doing some work on the truck tomorrow? If you don't mind maybe I could stop by and we can figure something out?

i was going to do some work today maybe, if i ever get off my ass, could do it tomorrow though if you want... all i'm really doing is changing my tail lights... so it's like a 10 minute job... unless i put my bumper back on...

give me a shout, i'm home all weekend

if you read right above the picture he flipped the image so the trucks would be in relatively the same position. the steering wheel has always been on the left

What he said, it was for the same angle of the truck stock, and with the lift and tires and new front end

pics of new mod tomorrow, it's done now, but it's dark...

TEASE! i hate people that do shit like that haha.

it's like when your girlfriend/wife says 'lets have sex.......................tomorrow'

that's great, because i don't think it's going to happen...
