Weekend Wheelin

Me and a friend from campus decided to wheelin last weekend. Had a good time, took paint off my sliders and bumper, bent the bottom of my bumper, U'd my t-case skid plate, and almost got my radiator when the bumper got bent. Things to do... build a much stronger and higher clearance t-case skid plate, and build a skid for the front. Only casualties were 3 of my 4 hard plastic mud flaps, need to get some fx4 fender flares and rubber flaps. Anyways, some pics.

That is actually a very easy section of the famous Hal John's trail here by Deadwood, South Dakota. I'm living in Rapid City, SD, where i go to college.

Tires are amazingly tough, and reasonable in the mud. For what i bought them for, they have been damn near perfect. Have lasted a long time, and never had a flat on the gravel roads. Spent my high school career driving 13 miles of gravel to get between home and the highway, so that was a necessity. Now, i probably won't buy another set. They aren't that good off road, and are horrible on wet roads. My next set of tires will either be a set of BFG mt's , or a set of BFG at's with some interco LTB's on my old rims for the trails.

Specs of my truck... that could get endless, lol, i'll just list the wheeling basics.
Front axle: lock right locker, 4.10 gears, explorer sport knuckles for 12" brakes. 1.5" explorer sway bar with disconects
Rear axle: 98 explorer rear end, detroit locker, 4.10 gears, disc brakes.
Drivetrain: stock engine and trans, xcal tuner, manual 1354 case, u-joint front shaft.
Armor: trailready front bumper, custom rear bumper, custom sliders, additional fuel cell in stock spare location, with heavy skid plating, reinforced front of frame.
probably forgot a bunch of stuff there, but thats the basics

do u think that bumper could fit on a 94 with some mods i looked on the trailready website and it only fits 97 and up

Hey, finally someone else from Rapid! I ran Hal John's with some friends a couple weeks ago...gets pretty sick in spots.

You going to WDTI? or school of mines?
