we may need to change the way we post

here's something for everyone that uses this website to think about.
we post in the garage section and put not safe for work ,not safe for kids. which is fine for the users that have singed up with a user name or any guest exept no one has thought of the kids that read this .
i'm not talking about the 18 year old that mom or dad has just given them their old ranger or bronco 2,explorer i'm talking about the ones that look at the post like this http://www.therangerstation.com/forums/showthread.php?t=30734 and at the botem of that link it goes to other porn sites.
maybe it's time to rethink the garage section to paid members only or just quit the "adult links" and keep it pg?

not a bad idea to me. I know most other forums i go on, if you can't post the pics or vids in the forum you can't post links to it either. (and i'm pretty sure Jim wouldn't want those pics plastered all over his site.)

Yeah, I was thinking that too...not that we could help it if kids are reading the garage other than restricting it somehow...

I went to a link that said "you must be 18 years to view these pages" and it gave you a thing to select your date of birth and year of birth...like, gee, some kid is really going to stay away because of that little restriction...lol!

if you look at my ranger station link in my first post in this thred it will show the nudity is allready on here..
if a minor gets this on a school's pc who's resopncible? just a thought???

something else to think about:
Any person who supplied the porn to the minors will be charge with contributing to the delinquency of a minor at the very least and probably much more these days. There is a strong chance that the supplier will be required to register as a sex offender.

Yeah, when I was 11 or so someone had found a bunch of playboy mags and we climbed up in a tree to look at naked boobies...back then they didn't show beaver...

I don't think there would be any repercussions about nudity...child porn or snuff porn might be an issue...

I agree. I find it annoying when I click on something with what seems like a clean title and Its near-naked girls and my mom or dad is around. Brings up some very uncomfortable questions.

Boobies are one thing, girls fisting each other is another. Some things my son just don't need to see yet. He enjoys setting at the comp with me and looking at all the RBV's here. I am the adult so I censor what is seen, but not everyone is setting with their kids at the computer. Sometimes it is a little over the top.

How about this. I think RPS does it! If you are not signed in. the "off topic" section does not show up. When you log in it magically appears. Why can't we do something like that so only members can look in the Garage and entertainment sections!! We can keep doing what we are doing but it is not visiable if your a guest!

I think it would work! I mean I may be wrong but do you think kids (little) will sign up just to look at the adult post we have. Everyone that signs up here I would think be no younger then 15-16. If they have hit high school it is nothing they have not seen before!
