as you know about the bearings, here is the fix for the other parts at risk:
1. drain diffs, tranny, transfer case, engine oil, gas tank.
2. refill all those components. just a couple of gallons for the gas.
3. drive it for a few miles.
4. drain all the above listed components, again. check for any water in any of the fluids.
5. refill all the above listed components.
6. drive again for up to 10 miles or so.
7. drain all above listed components, again. looking again for water.
8. refill all above listed components. IF no water was found before refilling, drive it for 100 miles or so.
9. just crack the drain plugs on all the above listed components and check the color and consistency of the various fluids. if they all look good, you should be good to go. any sign or hint of water and, well, you know the process by now.
been there, done that about 3 years ago with my trail rig. i had to (VERY CAREFULLY) drill a hole in my gas tank to drain it and then put a plug in the hole. so far, so good. just my $.02.
