Water pump rotation

Ok, I think I get it all now.. So if I use the belt setup 85_Ranger4x4 showed in the picture that should work great with my 4 acc's (ps,wp,alt, crank). But what can I buy aftermarket that gives me this option? I found a march 2 belt crank with alt and wp pulleys that I think would work but then still need the adjusters n brackets right and would only be using 1 belt? Or can I get a reg serpentine setup (link below) and use my p/s and alt both on the driver side with the same aftermarket brackets included in the set??

I just want to make sure everything will work before I fork out any cash on these things.. thank guys.

Could I just go with the cfr kit and a 2 belt or original crank pulley and have the alt positioned top pass side and have 1 belt for alt and crank and the other to wp, p/s and crank in a constant loop?

The thing about a V8 swap in a Ranger is the length of the V8. A shorter drive is gives you more room upfront for different fan setups. Dual belt setups tie up a lot more room to do the same thing.

Got a 12" puller fan from summit.. should be a bit more clearance up front..

But I think im gonna get the cfr kit b/c it comes with all the pulleys n brackets and then just find a 2 belt crank pulley to make the 2 belt setup work w alt on pass side and run all other acc through the 2nd belt. figure thats the easiest way to make it work with the std rot wp.

As long as there all 6 groove pulleys I think it should work in my setup

The CFR setup you linked to works only with a reverse rotation waterpump.

With this idea, you are overlooking the depth- One belt would need to be closer to the block, one belt would need to be further away.

Is there any easy way to align the alt with one belt and the ps and wp with the other?

The only "easy" way to do it is to use everything from one application. Mixing parts (brackets and pulleys) from different applications on small block fords is almost always an impossible proposition.

Shim the PS pump bracket out...

Or shim the alt out.

Or get a new timing cover and water pump. Do you even have room for a double serpentine crank pulley? Don't think my truck has enough room for that... But maybe.

I'm sure eBay could find you some Crown Vic brackets. You can always cut them to suit your needs. (I cut the top [adjuster] off my first alternator bracket so it looked cooler)

well im running a 12" elec fan, 3inch depth i think. havent fitted the motor but that will be soon enough.. I know its gunna be tight, worst case i put it on the outer rad support. I just wanted to work with serpentine so i could get a pulley/bracket kit all in one, but looks like i might have to run the original v-belt crank or dual serp.. still not sure what to do here.. Dun really wanna change the timing n wp if i dont have to but it might be easier..
