hey guys, i was just wonderin if there is any way to completely water proof the cab o my ranger, the doors gotta open and the rear glass still needs to open and the windows need to roll down, i hate it when i go wheelin and mud or water comes in and my carpet gets wet pain in the ass to pull out and dry.

You can do what I do and just take it out when you go wheeling, or know there may be a chance of getting water inside.

Or, you could always get the plastic/vinyl, floor/carpet replacment (comes in some Rangers, but it seems like only regular cabs)

As far as I know, there is no good way to water proof the cab, other than door seals.

i just got quite a bit of electronics i dont wanna get wet and my racin seats were pretty expensive, id like to keep them in good shape.

You could pull it all out, buy some herculiner, and paint it all to cover body holes and what not. Then put the carpet back in over it. Also just good seals on the doors and windows.

theres no way...weatherstrip just can't hold out water.

so what im understanding from the lack of ideas is that the only way i can keep water and crap outta the cab is weld up the body and glob silicone on every other leak?

Yea thats about it! Unfortanetly water is just one of those things you cant keep out.

Yeah OR.... You could herculine everything on not deal with silicon and just touch up if something springs a leak. If you have a manual trans, there is no way lol

dangit i got a t 18 manuel, the top loader part sticks through the floor, if you put grease one side of the door jam, then silicon a seal all the way round, will the silicone stick to the side with grease on it?

you are talking truck here and not sub (grin) the only way to stop water is to weld and seal. stay out of the water that is above your floor boards,

always get your electronics from best buy, i got my amp and sub replaced for free multiple times i had swamped the truck while wheelin lol, if u wheel everntually ur gonna get water/mud in the truck, just make sure u dont get stuck and it wont be as bad lol
