howzit! new to the world of fords..i noticed that you can use washers to level out a ranger front end, can you use 2 inches in height or should i just buy the spacers? thank for the help in advance...aloha
With the twin traction beam style front suspension, 1" of washers under the coil will net you 1.5" of lift, so for 2" of lift you'd want 1 1/4" to 1 1/2" of washers under there. You will also need an alignment when you are done.
One that specializes in modified 4WDs will be more likely to know what they're dealing with.
Chain shops like Sears/Midas (or tire stores) already seem to have a hard enough time trying to figure out how a TTB that doesn't have stacked washers on it works.
i used 1 3/4'' of washers under mine and love it they will out last the truck. the after market poly bushings weather crack and sag out after awhile so you are going to go through those, [wast of money] go with washers nothing wrong with useing them. less scwob can alighn your truck. the two by me now what they are doing, it costs around $ 140
