Washer spring spacers

What is the maximum high i can go on making my own coil spring spacers out of washers? and if anyone has done this how high did u go?

My guess; till you run out of threads on the bolt[nut fully engaged].

yes, but i want to know a safe/recomended size, i dont want to weld them together then have to pull them apart to make them smaller.

4 to 5 washer per side at 1/8" thick each
2WD's are great, the bolt that holds the radius arm is replaceable so you can always go with a longer bolt, but don't expect to be able to get it aligned without drop brackets.
