So saddam had uranium that was essentially worthless without the processing capability. Even if he was to refine it somehow, The man wasn't a complete idiot. If he were to use a nuclear weapon, you can bet your ass that a similar weapon would have been used to convert the desert where his palaces were to green glass.

When the war started, there was a very VERY real concern that chemical weapons would be used against us as we went in. None were, and I believe it is because he was smart enough to ship them all off to Syria, resulting in the world turning against us because none of these things were found. Saddam is far from stupid, and he knew what he was doing. Although he thought he wouldn't get caught in a hole in the desert.

No there was no concern, it was the horrible way he and his sons were treating the people, when questions were raised as to why we are invading, that is when the "Bad" info came about WMD's. But nothing was ever said or done about the bad info.....strange.
