Dang...you just described about 90% of my posts...:bawling:

Well, I got away with it for about 17 years so I guess I had a good run at it...:yahoo:

So I didn't see what the spam was, but usually these format of forums are subject to random bot attacks sometimes.

I think its automated because I've seen it happen on other places before.

A few years back someone discovered we were receiving thousands of hits on a hidden feature called user notes and someone was dumping comments or something in there. Every profile had them stuffed and it was suspected that they were slowing down the server somehow but I don't remember how it worked out. I do remember going through my own and I had hundreds of them.

Just shortly after that I think Jim moved TRS to another host site and we haven't seen the bogging down since that time.

You are probably correct about the bots automated attacks but I thought there was a way to get around that with the captcha verification or whatever the site uses. I haven't tried to create an account on here for a long time...

Used to have Spam and eggs or Portuguese sausage and eggs for breakfast when I lived in Hawaii. Good times.

Grind/grate spam like hamburger, add Miracle whip and relish, a little pepper and smear on bread.

Spam salad sammich. Comfort food of my youth.

My Mother used to make those sandwiches for us and I loved them too...without the pepper...

Corn relish was my favourite back then and put a dollop of that mix on a lightly toasted hamburger bun and that was a mighty fine and inexpensive lunch...

Why do I always get hungry after reading posts on TRS???
