My Brake light and Anti Rear Brake lights have started coming on but if my bII hits a rough bump they go off and don't come back on till I restart engein. and sometimes they don't come on at all.
That occurs when the brake Master Cylinder's low fluid level switch makes, indicating low brake fluid level. It is your last line of defense, meaning your brake linings have reached the "impending metal to metal" disaster level.
Earl, the fallacy in never adding brake fluid is the assumption that the vehicle has no fluid loss. When dealing with older vehicles, having a leak someone, never mind how small it may be, could be a reason for the fluid drop in the MC. Always fix the problem when you discover the leak, but topping up a MC adds some room of safety on a vehicle that is being driven.
