Alright, so...putting on my body lift. And that involves undoing a bolt in the cab so i had my door open. Anyways it got dark so i closed everything up and went inside. Well today i go outside to start working (around 2:40 the next day). Open the door....meow...ok what! Wells turns out my cat decided to sleep over in the ranger. Cat hair is everywhere. I'm just hoping there is no surprises in there. Haha. Anyways...keep yours cats and cabs seperate. Im not looking forward to cleaning out all the cat hair.

The cat hair aint that big of a problem, just hope it didn't take a piss in there! Thats a smell thats hard to get rid of!

Lol.

I didn't know what to expect when opening this thread, thanks for the Advice!

Haha yup no problem, i guess pretty much any animal wouldn't be good. My specific case was a cat tho, and yeah i'm hoping theres no cat piss in there. Its a mess right now, crawling in and out and taking things apart for the body lift. After (if?) i finish the body lift the ranger will get a cleaning lol.

My brother likes to feed the local strays until one of them got into the garage and the open window of his new Olds and have kittens on his front seat.

Oh yeah. gotta luv kats.

I once had a cat move into the Suburban.......... it was 17*f below 0 and my window was down just enough for it to get in ......... didn't belong to anybody in the neighbor hood so I took it to the animal shelter .......... back when it was a no kill shelter.........

For me cats are like the NFL draft. The best one stays, the others get planted on paw hill. There is no highway option.

My old cat liked riding around in the car with me. He'd put his paws up on the dash and watch the road. Never seen another cat do that...usually they freak out in a moving vehicle.

twenty some years ago I had a cat that was so good at staying on
my shoulder I'd forget he was there...

I could literally do a four wheel brake job including a trip to the local
auto parts to get the rotors cut and that cat would stay up there...

I'd get the strangest looks walking into the auto parts or the post office
wiht a big black and white cat perched on my shoulder like Baretta's big
white bird....

That cat also liked to sleep in trees
with all four legs dangling like one of those leopards in africa...

My shop teacher told us a story about a cat once. A guy brought in his car saying there was a funny smell coming from the front of the car when it was warmed up. Apparently a cat had got in there the night before because the engine was still warm and it was in mid december. Needless to say that bad smell was chopped cat...

O had a cat a few years back that used to jump into our cars to sleep too. He's also sleep on the hood too. I got in my car once to leave and the cat was laying on the hood, i yelled at him to leave, even honked the horn and he'd stay. So I drove around the block (slowly) with the cat on the hood like a Mack bulldog hood ornament. he loved it. I'd drive him around the block once a week or so on the hood when he decided he didnt want to jump off.

Hahaha, these are some sweet cat stories. I normally wouldn't mind my cat in my truck except wow did that thing ever shed overnight! Its like it was molting night haha. But yeah...my girlfriends had a few of her cats killed in truck engines

Wow and I thought my cat was weird for sleeping in the dryer.

During the rebuild of my Ranger I had left the motor and tranny out...went to get something out of the cab one day and found the remains of a mourning dove under the seat...a stray had dragged it in through the shifter hole and got to eat the first official 'drive-thru' meal in my truck...took me quite a bit of time to gather up all the bones and feathers...

Haha, awe man. I'm glad that didn't happen, hearing some stories you guys have here, i guess a bit of cat hair isn't a bad thing. Also, just in case anyone wasn't clear (i'm getting off topic in my own thread:D) When it comes to body lifts...rust=bad, penetrating oil=good...also fathers experience and muscles=good too haha.
