Warn Hubs ????

Ok my latest Ranger is a 06 X-cab 4.0 5 Speed with 410`s

Is there any way to add Warn Hubs like I did to my 97 - so I can have free running front end for better gas mileage ???????

I noticed the axles and front drive shaft turn all the time.......

Also I am getting what sounds like a bearing failure on the front right, I bet that is a nasty job to replace ?????

Really like the truck but who ever had it before me BEAT THE CRAP OUT OF IT.

Well, I know that the 01+ Rangers all have live axles, meaning, essentially no hubs, you're always ready for 4WD. There may be some sort of kit conversion to go from your live axle back to hubs, although I can't think of a brand/company who produces these conversion kits off the top of my head, but I"m sure someone will chime in with more info than I have.
 
I think what you are looking for are the AVM manual hubs. MileMarker may make them too, but I can't remember. If they do, I think I remember hearing that they suck.
 
Well I know AVM is a common conversion hub from the 98-00 with the vacuum actuated hubs. Is it the same set up for the live axles? I'm not sure, I've never really looked at the 01+ Rangers.

Edit - Yeah from what I've heard, AVM hubs are good for light offroad use. I sold my 99 before I was able to test them
 
AVM's do not work on 2000+ trucks, you would have to swap the knuckles and everything out for the 98-00 style with pulse vacuum hubs and then swap them over to manual hubs.

Ford did away with the pulse vacuum hubs because of how problem prone they were and also that have the live axle setup barely affected the gas mileage.

+1. seem like everyone else is making assumptions. besides going with a dana 44, id do as said and swap to the pulse vacuum and do the avm hubs. the only reason this would be worth a damn is if you plan on breaking cv joints from hard wheeling. even then, the avm hubs would probably go out before the cv joints. the gas milage gain would be so minute that it would barely be noticable if at all.
