:fie:so in a back corner hid on a shelf at the junk yard i found a set of warn hubs the appeared to be identical to a ranger hub. I peeled the warn stickers off so they wouldnt know what i found, paid for them and went home to install them. they would not fit on my d35 so I counted the splines and they have 19 which doesnt fit either a d35 or d28. now im looking to identify them so i can sell them to maybe recoup what i spend on them and get a hub to replace my busted one. Does anybody know what these hubs belong to? so far im guessing it's a jeep d35 front.

Jeeps never came factory with the top hat style hub. The 4.5"BC Warn hub conversion uses the D35 hub we know and love.

If the bolt pattern is the same as your truck it could be a D28 hub.

BUT in 1987 Ford did a stupid move and made something similar for the F150. but it will be a 5.5" BC hub.

d28 is 23 spline d25 are 27 spline on the spindle end of the axle it is a 5 on 4.5 bolt pattern cause it fits over my studs. the haubs are both 19 spline, i counted several times. and checking on this same website it shows that warn makes a top hat style hub for the jeep d35, the ones that fit rangers are for a rear d35 in a jeep. im not saying that they are jeep hubs but they are not d35 and based on splines they wouldn't fit a d28 unless one came with 19 spline outers.

ok so after lots of reseach, the hubs are for an 80 to 93 dodge ramcharger. they are identical to the jeep hubs except for the spline count. i goofed. now i know. thanks for the help.

I believe the 80-93 rancharger went to internal style hub on the front D44 along with swapping to a 5x5.5 bolt pattern...

I know the 75-79 rancharger uses a 5x4.5 bolt pattern but they use a live front axle at the hubs. There is a kit from milemarker to swap them to an external style flange locking hub and it is 19 spline but the hubs are custom (I have the kit sitting here next to me for the knuckles I have sitting in the garage) The hub for this kit has the 5 holes for the studs plus a sixth hole about the same size between 2 of the others to unbolt the unitbearing through and for greaseing the wheelbearings. You should post a couple pictures of it.
