i have a 98 ranger step side. i am currently running on 235/75 15 tires and want to go bigger. i would really like to not have to put a lift kit on it right now(due to tight money problems). any help would be great.

You can fit a 31/10.50 without lift, possibly 32's...

Ok thanks. I've been looking on the internet and couldn't find any straight forward answer.

I'm going to have to order the new tires. Do I need to change any numbers or anything?

Ok, Bro. Here is some good honest advice.....The best thing you can do is go to a tire shop and buy from them. Let them determine what size will fit without a lift. They will mount a couple of different tire sizes and see what fits the best without any rubbing. If those tires you order rub the body or hit any suspension parts you are not going to be happy. Now...if you are going to add a lift after you buy the tires they might look too small after the lift and you wasted your money. It is just best to get a lift and the tires at the same time. Save your money and only do it once.

yeah if you don't want to lift it right now than don't get bigger tires

I'm confused. Money is tight so you want to buy more expensive tires.

:icon_confused: Makes sense I guess. :dunno:

i think what he is meaning on money is tight is he wants bigger tires and a lift but can only afford the tires so he wants something that will fit without spending extra on a lift as well

thats the way i took it, he probably needs to replace his tires, so thats a given cost already. i completely understand, i'd like to cram as much tire as i can without lifting my truck as well...

Its a 98 so its got T-bars crank them up and add a chevy shackle drop to the back. ( it will lift the back of a ranger two inches) and throw on some 33's

Dont put 33's on it. They WILL rub. 32's are as big as you can/should go with out a lift. Never rubbed on my truck with a slight t-bar crank.
