Im wanting to run a 15x8 wheel with 2.50 of backspacing my question is if i run a tire thats 10.50 how tall can i go sitting stock on a 94 ex-cab ranger

With 2.5" of back spacing your going to run into the problem that is wheel bearings... ALOT!!! you wouldn't even be able to cover the brake calipers with that...

If you leveled out your truck you can get 33x10.50's under it I believe. but your again goig to run into the problem that is your rims. you want atleast a 3.75" back spacing. with a 2.5" it may stick out more then you want and cause the tires to rub even with a leveling kit.

30x10.5x15 tire setup with 3inch set up leveling .putting them thirth generation does not go faster than 230 miles

Unless you plan on replacing bearings every oil change dont go with anything under 3.50 for backspacing. Do you have a 4x4 or 2wd? A 4x4 can fit 31x10.50-15's stock. With 2" spacers on a 2wd you could stuff 31's.

It is a 4x4 i always have liked the wider stance that comes with less backspace but i didnt know if i was going to rub fenders or bumbers running a taller tire on these rims i appreciate all help im not new to 4wheelin but am fairly new to the ranger ttb system so any help goes a long way
