Hey everybody. just some background info before i get started with my info's

1999 Ford Ranger xlt stepside 3.0L v6 5spd.
Mod's so far. stage 2 clutch and CAI done. other then that bone stock.

Wanting to get some performance outta my so called (3.slow motor).. im 17 years old work bout 20-30 hours week on a 7.25 hour pay... so what are some good but cheap/affordable mods that can be done? also, i understand and know alot about my Danger-Ranger... have a buddy in Cache that will help me do anything.. were working on a 78 FireBird with a 454 we been working on for awhile's..

Prolly the best bang for the buck is putting small tires on it.. Lots of torque and good fuel milage!

Underdrive crank pulley and Gatorback belt. Costs about $100, adds 8rwhp 11rwtq and 1+mpg. An electric fan is a good mod as well.

If your mechanically inclined, half shafting the throttle body is free and a makes a noticeable difference.
